Step-by-Step Guide
STEP 1 — 2:47
Get Your Headphone EQ Baseline
Go to Squig.link and find your headphone model. Apply the Harman 2018 target curve to get a neutral baseline EQ for your specific headphones before adding any game-specific adjustments.
STEP 2 — 4:15
Add VST Plugins in Wave Link
Open Wave Link 3.0 and add ReaPlugs VSTs to your game audio channel. You will need ReaEQ for equalization and ReaXComp as your pre-compressor.
STEP 3 — 6:13
Set Up Baseline Headphone EQ
Import your Squig.link EQ export into ReaEQ inside Wave Link. This is your neutral starting point that compensates for your headphone frequency response.
STEP 4 — 7:08
Warzone and Multiplayer EQ Profile
Apply the Warzone and Multiplayer EQ profile. This profile focuses heavily on footstep frequencies to give you maximum positional audio awareness in open maps.
STEP 5 — 8:18
Search and Destroy EQ Profile
The Search and Destroy profile is fine-tuned for precise close-range footstep detection where every sound cue is critical and there is no respawning.
STEP 6 — 9:31
Zombies and Endgame EQ Profile
The Zombies profile emphasizes directional sound cues like zombie groans and environmental audio to help you track enemy positions in the chaos.
STEP 7 — 10:07
Stream Deck Profile Toggle
Set up your Elgato Stream Deck to toggle between EQ profiles on the fly without leaving your game.
STEP 8 — 11:27
Dolby Atmos Setup
Activate Dolby Atmos for spatial surround sound. Adds a 3D audio layer on top of your EQ setup giving you precise directional audio for locating enemies.
STEP 9 — 14:19
In-Game Audio Settings
Set Spatial Surround as your output, enable Headphone Bass Cut, and turn on Reduce Tinnitus Sound in Call of Duty audio settings.
