1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using eqdomain.com and the EQDomain tool, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The Service

EQDomain is a free, browser-based parametric EQ generator for gaming headphones, created and operated by Sir JayDomain. No account, payment, or software installation is required. The service may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time without notice.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

EQDomain and all generated EQ settings are provided “as is” without any warranty. EQ settings are calculated based on publicly available headphone measurement data and game audio targets. Results will vary depending on your specific headphones, audio hardware, software, room acoustics, and personal hearing preferences. We make no guarantee that any setting will sound optimal for your setup.

4. Hearing Health

Applying EQ changes the volume and frequency balance of your audio. Always start at a low volume when testing new settings and increase gradually. Prolonged exposure to loud audio can cause permanent hearing damage. You are responsible for managing your own listening levels. Sir JayDomain is not responsible for any hearing damage resulting from the use of settings generated by this tool.

5. Third-Party Software

EQDomain generates settings for use with third-party software, including ReaPlugs (Cockos), Wave Link (Elgato), Sonar (SteelSeries), and Dolby Atmos. These applications are independent of Sir JayDomain and subject to their own license agreements. We are not responsible for issues arising from third-party software.

Headphone measurement data is fetched directly from public Squig.link mirrors and AutoEQ (jaakkopasanen/AutoEq). We do not control these sources. The accuracy of any EQ depends on the underlying measurement.

6. Intellectual Property

Game-specific EQ target curves, tutorial content, the EQDomain tool codebase, and original artwork on eqdomain.com are the property of Sir JayDomain. You may use generated EQ settings for personal use, including in streams or videos. You may not republish, redistribute, or sell EQDomain itself, the target curves, or other original content without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sir JayDomain shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of this site or the EQ settings it generates. This includes but is not limited to hearing damage, audio hardware damage, or software malfunction.

8. Donations

Support through Ko-fi is entirely voluntary. Donations do not entitle you to any additional features, services, or content. All donations are processed by Ko-fi and subject to their own terms and privacy policy. Sir JayDomain is grateful for any support but never requires it.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of EQDomain will be resolved in accordance with U.S. law.
